A hypothetical: The aging Beaver Pool sits about 300 yards away from the high school. Make an enclosed, covered walkway, a two-minute or less walking distance from the high school (a distance not longer than from the high school’s front door to its back door). Put a heated inflatable cover or dome on the Beaver pool, upgrade it, share the cost, and rent it from the borough. Both town and district would benefit. Many other towns have adopted/adapted this winterizing plan to year-round use.
