State Rep. Rob Matzie Advocating For Harmony Twp. President’s Pardon

State Representative Rob Matzie (D-Beaver/Allegheny) has written a letter in support of a pardon for Harmony Twp. President Bradley Payne.

Payne is currently in his third year of a second four-year term as a Harmony Twp. commissioner. But according to District Attorney David Lozier, Payne was convicted of a felony theft in 1999 making him ineligible to serve as an elected official. Lozier has filed litigation seeking to have Payne removed from office.

“I take no pleasure in doing that, but that is what I am required to do by law as a representative of the Commonwealth,” Lozier previously told BeaverCountian.com.
