Jury Finds Ambridge Police Chief Not Guilty Of All Charges

Ambridge Police Chief James Mann has been found not guilty of all ten felony and misdemeanor charges filed against him by state police. Prosecutors had alleged the veteran lawman engaged in theft by falsifying timesheets and then threatened officers involved in the criminal investigation against him.

After a week-long trial jurors rejected claims by county prosecutors that Mann had stolen more than $54,000 from the Borough of Ambridge in the way he claimed hours while on non work-related disability in 2017 and 2018. Jurors also rejected allegations that Mann had attempted to intimidate officer Michael McQuaide.
