Former Candidate For District Attorney Charged With DUI At Excessive Speeds

A former Democratic candidate for Beaver County District Attorney has been charged with driving under the influence while speeding through the streets of East Rochester Borough.

Frank Nicholas Martocci, 54, of Ambridge, has been charged by Pennsylvania State Police with driving under the influence, exceeding the speed limit by 36 miles per hour, and failing to maintain his lane of travel.

According to charging documents filed with the court, state police allege Martocci was driving a black 2010 SAAB 93 on November 7 at speeds of 86 mph in a 50 mph zone, and 70 mph in a 45 mph zone. Police say Martocci failed to maintain his lane of travel, and was found to have a blood alcohol level of .099 — which is above the legal limit of .08.
