Brighton Twp. Officer Facing Trial On Fraud And False Report Charges

A Brighton Township police officer is facing trial on felony fraud charges after detectives alleged he attempted to defraud his insurance company out of thousands of dollars.

Donald Eugene Sanders Jr., age 51, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Tuesday following his October arrest by county detectives.

Sanders is currently on unpaid administrative leave from the department pending the outcome of the case against him. Chief County Detective Andrew Gall filed the following criminal complaint in charging Sanders:
