Commissioners Terminate Recreation & Tourism Director – Cite “Restructuring”

Beaver County Commissioners terminated Recreation & Tourism Director Tim Ishman today, citing a restructuring of departments in county government. Today’s action by the Board came as a complete surprise as commissioners have not deliberated a restructuring of government in any of their public work sessions.

Commissioners made no announcement about the move, with BeaverCountian.com learning of Ishman’s firing only through confidential sources in county government.

Commissioners Chairman Dan Camp confirmed that Ishan had been terminated due to a restructuring of the Recreation and Tourism Departments, but declined further comment, saying the Board would discuss the matter in a future public work session.
