An emergency medical technician (EMT) says her personal belongings were stolen from an ambulance while she was assisting a patient in Aliquippa, and that the city’s police department won’t return any of her phone calls about the theft.
Miranda Biggs, who serves as an EMT for Medic Rescue, tells BeaverCountian.com she was dispatched to Towne Tower Apartments in Aliquippa at about 9:00 a.m. on Aug. 4 when the incident happened.
“My partner and I couldn’t get into the apartment building, so (a woman) let us in,” Biggs said. “We were in with the patient, then left the building to transport them to the hospital. I got in the front seat of the ambulance and I noticed all of our stuff was gone.”
Biggs said she contacted county dispatch to have Aliquippa police call her as she proceeded to transport the patient.
