“I have no idea what you’re talking about. I haven’t heard about anything involving Sam Piccinini [...] You’re wrong [...] This is all news to me” Scriva said in the brief phone interview.
Law enforcement sources have told the Beaver Countian that Piccinini is suspected of discharging a firearm near his home in Rochester before the November 8th election. Those sources say a vehicle owned by a neighbor was believed to have been struck when the weapon was fired.
Other independent sources have told the Beaver Countian that Mayor Scriva was made aware of the alleged incident, and claim they have heard Scriva discussing it in detail. The Beaver Countian relayed Scriva’s response to those sources, one of whom gave permission to approach the Mayor with specific information about when and where the discussions allegedly occurred.
The Beaver Countian called Mayor Scriva a second time to again ask about any knowledge he may have had about an alleged incident.
“I have a severe concussion since two weeks ago. I have no comment for you or anybody else” Scriva shouted before abruptly hanging up the phone.
