Second Ambridge School Board Member Resigns Due To District’s “Lack Of Transparency And Integrity”

A second Ambridge Area School District board member tendered her resignation last night, citing a “lack of transparency and integrity” in district operations.

Meagan Trimbur was elected to her first term as a board member in November.

Announcing her resignation during Wednesday’s public board meeting, Trimbur said “gross improprieties” in the district were at the root of her decision to leave.

“I am resigning for the fact of gross improprieties and the lack of communication,” Trimbur said, adding that she felt the board doesn’t “have enough regard for the district, the students, (or) the taxpayers.”
