Luke Berardelli has resigned from the Beaver Area School Board, four days after BeaverCountian.com reported on a Facebook post in which he suggested “maybe the Islamic faith is the correct way to go considering they give women zero rights at all.”
Berardelli has said the post was sarcastic and that he does not hold those views about women.
His resignation came less than a day after his fellow board members publicly called on him to step down during Monday night’s voting session.
