A man’s petition to appear on the primary ballot for Aliquippa City Council may not contain enough valid entries to meet the minimums required by law, an investigation by the Beaver Countian has revealed.

Robert “Bobby” Williams submitted the signed and notarized petition forms to the Bureau of Elections, seeking to be placed on the May 21st primary ballot as a Democratic Candidate for City Council. A previous investigation by the Beaver Countian raised serious questions about whether the man actually even resides in the City of Aliquippa.

The Beaver Countian examined all 116 lines on the 3 petitions submitted by Williams to determine if they contained the required information, and then cross referenced each petitioner against registered voter rolls for the City. Each valid line must by law contain the signature, printed name, address, and date of signing for a registered voter from the same party as the candidate. The elector’s place of residency must make them eligible to vote in the race.

As many as 29 of the lines examined by the Beaver Countian, 25% of all entries, appeared to have some problem which may disqualify them as being valid. Potential candidates are required to have 100 valid signature lines to appear on the primary ballot for the City of Aliquippa. If challenged by voters with standing in Aliquippa, Bobby Williams could find himself excluded if a court subsequently determines the lines which appear to be problematic are indeed invalid.

I rented off of Bobby Williams (aka the crook)on station street back in the 70’s. He used to come into my apartment and use my phone for long distance calls when I wasn’t home. He changed the locks on my doors before I got everything out of my apartment. Does he still own that dump?

Somebody sure as hell needs to. The guy is an out of control lunatic, and not to mention one of the many corrupt BC politicians who are successful only at running our once great County into the ground. Never mind that what this guy appears to be doing is wrong and illegal, whether or not he is one of the Sheriff’s cronies or not.
