An Aliquippa Domino’s Pizza was placed out of compliance with state food safety regulations after an Oct. 27 inspection turned up six violations, including one serious enough for the state to shut the restaurant down on the spot.
Inspectors with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture found the Domino’s at 2646 Brodhead Road had been running without hot water since the previous Saturday, Oct. 24 — and that managers knew it. “The person in charge failed to perform required duties by continuing to operate a retail food facility while knowing the facility did not have hot water for sanitation and employee hand washing,” the inspector wrote, adding that the situation was “an imminent health hazard.” The facility, the report states, “is closed by order of the department.”
