Every local government in Beaver County is required to keep minutes of its public meetings. Those minutes are the official record of what your elected officials did with your money and in your name. How easy they are to find, and how much they actually tell you, varies wildly depending on where you live.

Over the past several weeks, BeaverCountian.com read the official minutes of every Beaver County local government that posts them. That’s 7,006 meetings and more than 67,000 votes, going back to 2002. Then we graded all 54 municipalities and all 14 public school districts on how well they let taxpayers see what they’re doing.
