A Chippewa man was injured after wrecking his motorcycle on State Route 51 in Fallston at approximately 8pm Sunday evening.

Ashley Holmes, also of Chippewa, said she saw the motorcycle in front of her swerve when a deer ran from the woods into the man’s direction of travel. She said the man suffered visible shoulder and head injuries, but was conscious and had managed to roll himself over after the crash.

Patterson Township police measured the bike had skid nearly 130 feet before stopping. Witnesses on scene tell the Beaver Countian the motorcycle didn’t appear to be speeding before the accident.

The extent of the man’s injuries were still being determined at the time of this report.
