Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) issued the following statement today on the Stop Internet Piracy Now (SOPA) Act and the PROTECT IP (PIPA) Act:

“Piracy of intellectual property is a legitimate concern that should be addressed. However, the PROTECT IP Act and the Stop Internet Piracy Act are flawed, and I cannot support them in their current form. I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues on this issue and finding a better legislative approach for tackling online piracy.”

Pat Toomey, along with Bob Casey and Jason Altmire, voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act allowing American citizens, you and I, to be arrested by the military and detained without trial for an indefinite period if we happen to even think something our dictators don’t like.

All those who voted in favor of the NDAA perjured their oaths of office to uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution which is tantamount to treason. When one perjures their Constitutional oath they have automatically and simultaneously vacated (forfeited) their authority and may no longer serve in their capacity. Why haven’t any of these guys hit the bricks yet?

Toomey doesn’t get a reprieve by opposing SOPA. Most likely he thinks it is flawed because it isn’t tyrannical enough!
