Note: An arrest is not indicative of guilt. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Aren´t we innocent until PROVEN guilty? You are publicly humiliating people that haven´t even been convicted. This is so wrong on so many levels. Obviously, some of these people are going through hardships and need help – not humiliation. So sad that you have to stoop this low .

      • Probably not. She just might be like Vondell “blondie60″ McCoy who worships at the alter of the BCT and J.D. Prose.

    • Man you are one mixed up puppy! You think I’m Blondie60? And that I love the Beaver County Toiletwipe and JD Prose? LOL. You need to be getting a SSI check!

    • So which rehab or shelter will you be sending your check to, since you claim that all they need is help?
If you have all the answers to the counties ills, you should be prepared to back that solution monetarily…..
So, how much will YOU be donating?

  • I think it’s a great idea AFTER someone is convicted. Before?….I see a lawsuit in the making. Our justice system was not built this way!

    • Ok, so the Beaver County Times has been doing “Mugshot Monday” for quite some time, and I’ve not heard even the tiniest squeak in protest, but let JP and the Beavercountian start doing something similar with the “Midweek Mugshots” and everyone is up in arms!
Can someone please explain the hypocrisy??
Also, I’m not sure if you know this or not, but if you get arrested, and the if charges get dropped, the case gets dismissed, or you are found not guilty….THAT MUGSHOT NEVER GOES AWAY.
Once it’s there, it’s there forever. Any prospective employer or mortgage company, or ANY buisness that decides to run a routine background check WILL find that shot and the accompanying reasons for said mugshot. In order to get something like that removed from your record (even though you don’t really have one), you have to hire a pretty decently priced attorney, and fight in court for expungement of that record.

  • seriously….”stoop so low” as if being arrested is not stooping low…..if you are ARRESTED then the PUBLIC has the right to know WHY…..and having been arrested myself i can tell you that at least in the County of Greene and Jesrey in the state of IL YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT…….

  • Most are being held on a probation detainer which for you sympathizers means they are already convicted of something!!

  • A warrant is issued,, they are made aware. If they do not bring themselves in then they have to be found. They may be innocent of the charge before them,, but they did not come in on their own for a reason. The law is the law and everyone has to obey. If this is what it takes to find people that have warrants so be it,, they had their chance to go in on their own.

    • The person who is the subject of the warrant sometimes does NOT know that there is a warrant out for them. I’ve had warrants out for something as stupid as an unpaid fine, and didn’t know about the warrant until by chance I possibly got pulled over for a simple traffic violation, or if a constible called me or showed up at my house.
So, not everyone has the opportunity to turn themselves in, because they may not even realize that there is an active bench warrant for their arrest.
I am not trying to start an argument, I am just stating the situation that happened to me, to offer proof that the person in question doesn’t always know.

  • I’ve been arrested for something that I was Inicent of and was it was put in the paper back in 78 I was embarrassed and I made it a point not to ever be in that situation ever again..pick your friends wisely…is what I learnt…

  • I know three of these people and they all belong on here. breaking the law is the only life they know.

  • Ok, well if we are allowed to post mug shots of those who are arrested, we should also post mug shots of the police officers if the person arrested is found not guilty. The MAYBE you might have an argument. I am directly related to the chief of police and I can tell you from personal experience that the local police will do whatever they want, weather it is right or wrong, legal or illegal, moral or immoral.

    • That is a very slippery slope there, my friend. The arresting officer may NOT be the reason that the person being arrested is found not guilty. Alot of the time, that burden falls on the prosecuting attorneys, judges, and/or juries.
So why would we hold the officer, who was just doing in his job, responsible for the failure of the judicial system?
By no means am I saying that the local LEOs are as pure as the driven snow, there are always some bad apples in every department. But, as for proving that the person they arrested is guilty, all they can do is present the evidence that they have, and from there, it’s out of their hands.
As well meaning as your suggestion is, sadly, it just isn’t feasible.

  • Comw on folks!! Stop acting so Naive! This IS AMERICA and we all know how things work. You are Always guilty until proven innocent. The only thing helping this situation is people educating themselves about the ins and out of our judicial system.

    • An APO is an adult probation order. If they are being held, it could be because they were either in violation of their probation rules, or they were charged with another crime, which is in violation of their probation.

  • It could be worse! I violated probation & went to jail over it. The kicker is, The Times posted my picture three weeks in a row as “Beaver County’s Most Wanted” When I was already locked up! My family tried calling the sheriff’s office to find out why they were doing that to me but couldn’t get any answers.

It’s all good though, it got me a ton of respect amongst Beaver county’s criminal element.

  • My picture wasn’t in the paper but I had to have a mugshot taken at the jail when a crazy former neighbor filed charges on me that were thrown out of court in less than five minutes. It was still embarrassing and a hassle. It didn’t keep The Times from printing the raw police report though, which was completely untrue.

    • The times goes for shock value, as often as possible, without giving a rats ass about the families that they are damaging.
One of my family members recently passed away, and they felt it necessary to print the details of how/why he died. I’m still rather pissed about that.
Quite a few years ago, a family friend died in a car accident. They had to make sure to take pics of it and put it up on the front page where the family and all their friends could see. There are numerous other examples, but I won’t waste that kind of space.
Bottom line is this: They don’t give a shit whom they hurt, and by whatever means necessary, as long as they make that “almighty dollar”.
Ghouls, the whole lot of them. Don’t give two shits about anyone but themselves and the money. Disgusting to the core…
