The Beaver County Board of Commissioners announced they have signed a letter of intent with a buyer for Friendship Ridge. A sales agreement is currently being finalized, and the final sales price will be announced after its execution. The Commissioners released the following statement at their public meeting held earlier today:
On May 2nd of this year, the Beaver County Board of Commissioners began the marketing and exploratory process to determine if it could find a suitable party to purchase and take over the operations of the County’s nursing home, Friendship Ridge. During the 57 day marketing period, Marcus and Millichap, real estate brokers for the county, contacted over 2,100 distinct potential buyers from across the country. They received 65 formal inquiries. Nine interested parties toured the Friendship Ridge facility. Five offers were received with all offers at or above the Minimum Bid Price, but with varying interpretations and responses to the Terms and Conditions of Sale. After vetting each of the bids in early July, two parties were interviewed. These parties not only agreed to accept all of the terms and conditions, but their offers far exceeded the Minimum Bid pricing requirements. Following excellent interviews with both parties, the Board of Commissioners spent two days touring a sample of the bidders operations. After three months of marketing and vetting, the Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that it has accepted a bid from Comprehensive HealthCare Management Services.
